Mid week funnies
Time for our weekly review of non-financial happenings in the form of -- cartoons!
Despite almost uncountably many Republican mess ups and scandals the Democrats are struggling in polls as elections approach.
Meanwhile the world press is getting a lot of mileage out of wondering exactly WHY one would want to be like us.
Todays inflation numbers showed that the worked is getting significant purchasing erosion. Another survey out today showed the average pay on wall street is US$300,000.
Republican Congressman Foley is still shaking things up, as it becomes clear the leadership knew of his inappropriate emails a while ago.
North Korea's nuclear test has caused a lot of headlines, although it's still unclear how that changes the international calculus. Historically there has been a lag of several years between first good detonation and something you could mount on a missile (bombs are easier).
